BIO
Jennifer Barron, native of Kansas City, has been an active performer on cello and viola da gamba both in the United States and in Europe for several decades. After earning a postgraduate diploma in viola da gamba performance from London's Trinity College of Music, she performed and toured with a number of ensembles, including Switzerland's Sestina Consort, and was a founding member of Chelys Consort of Viols, based in London. While she was a member, Sestina Consort performed with a number of early music luminaries, including Evelyn Tubb, Emma Kirkby and Anthony Rooley.
In addition to her early music work, Jennifer has played live with and recorded with many bands and singers on both cello and viola da gamba. Some favorite projects are linked below.
